Cowgirl T-shirt

  As some of you know,  a couple of years ago I stitched up several deco pillows for one of my dear gal~pals,  using her cast off cool cowgirl T-shirts.... well recently, while out and about I found a fun cowgirl 'Hoodie'  which I just had to buy (at a Thrift).... bring home,  launder.... and now to get a free afternoon, so I can re-purpose it into a deco pillow.

maybe I will use a navy blue velvet for the back side, sort of a fabric juxtapose....

OOPS! found another pair....

heeheehee... look what I added to my collection....

are these cool or what?  a pair of  'previously owned'  Hondo leather boots!
To bad these are one size to large for me.... but oh well,,, I'll park them in one of the trailers for decoration..... also a great place to store an extra bottle or two of wine when traveling... heeheehee...

Scotty Love....

I was recently out junktiquing,,, and low and behold... look what I found...

 I found a baggie of vintage hankies and tucked in the baggie was this ever so sweet Scotty hankie.
Perfect colors for my perfectly sweet trailer....

Then in the mail came this lovely twin size afghan.... from my mommy....
She said she knew this would look cute in my trailer,,, and ya know what? she is soooo right! 

I Spy A Spy...

Hmmm, could this be Colonel Peekaboo doing Dress Inspection?

 a very very close inspection....

 looking kinda sloppy there, soldier!

Wait, do we have a Spy in the crowd?  Don't 'moose' with us!  lol!

I have 11 pairs of cowgirl boots,  the 2 that flank both ends are my trusty dusty work/ranch boots.... not much pretty to look at,,, but they kick butt and get the job done!
Then I have my cute attitude boots, the red, blue, purple and rust ones... they are my go-to boots for dress up...I also have some day wear boots for shopping or what ever... and then I have my prissy boots, my Luccchese...which do not set foot on dirt, rocks or mud... I told you these are my prissy boots! lol!

Now, for the Spies... even tho they are my go-to moose slippers, they co-habitate with my boots... so they really aren't spies... or are they????  lol!...

Yee HAW!

Well, here are some goodies I scored for my trailer adventures...

 Well, all I have left to finish stitching is "Friday"...and then all "7 days of the Week" will be ready to quilt into a trailer comforter..... whew!

 Oh my stars,,, I soooo love this sweet little Scotty lace piece that was given to me by one of my dear trailerette gal~pals... Carolyn.... Thank you Carolyn so very much... I can hardly wait to put this into my trailer... kind of thinking I might tack stitch it onto a deco pillow with a blue background... the same blue as my trailer... what do you think? Maybe stitch on some litte bows at each corner in the same blue...

 I found this fab-u-los wool blanket at the Thrift... took it home laundered it... fluffed it and oh my!.
 I can hardly wait to snuggle with it in my trailer... but which trailer shall I put it in?  aacckk!

 I also bought this wonderful 'Lodgey' looking wool jacket.... it looks and feels like a wool blanket...

It will be perfect for my Glamping trip to White Bird Idaho in April,,, goodness knows I will stay snuggly warm in it!

Almost....

Well, the snow is finally melting away,,, and  the rains are coming in.... but... if all goes according to plan, this weekend the hubby and I will get to go play out in the 'ManCave'  and work on Tin Cup...

We decided to do a 2nd dose of 'bug bomb'... just in case there are any multi-legged creepy crawlies... so we'll be vacuuming (again) dead creepy crawlies and dehydrated wasps!
That being said,,, hubby wants to work on the wiring... I want to work on the windows... hopefully the weather will co-operate and we can leave the barn door open so we can get lots of day light to work by. Sunshine would be great, but we'll settle for day light and maybe 40 weather.... :>)

In the mean time I am almost finished with my stitchery of my "7-days a week of Glamping"... but look what I spotted on Face Book,,, hmmm, maybe I should think about trying to stitch up one like this as well!

Well, back to my other stitching projects.... tata-4-now...

Sure wish Spring would get here,,,,,  we have work to do on "Tin Cup"...

and,,, Lucy and Ricky are ready for mischief and adventure!  lol!

Fly Fishing anyone?

While out Junktiquing with my BFF (the hubby)... we found a few goodies we couldn't pass up on... which I posted on my 'katmom' blog (you can click on the button on the right to get to it)...
In the mean time here are two that I wanted to share on this blog...

 I haven't decided if I will put the grape cluster in Tin Cup (our 1965 Silver Streak)... but the aluminum coasters are perfect! I had a set of 5 aluminum cups but sold them... go figure...

 Well Gary found this DVD and said, "You need this!"... he also said, "after all, you are a 'Sister on the Fly' aren't you?...so you need to learn to fly fish!....  uugghh !I hate it when he makes sense! lol!

New Purse...

I bought this license plate purse at a Yard Sale last year...and it goes perfect with my new license plate binder (show below)...
Hmmm, Arizona and Colorado.... I see a road trip in my future! lol!

 It originally had a strap made from thick black rubber...which I didn't like... so I removed the old strap, put this one on... but I am not all that crazy with it... so I will keep my eyes open for something that will work better to my liking....

Now to find one made from a California plate  :>)

For Tin Cup

As you know,,, I am on a quest to find the perfect mid- 1960's deco items for our Silver Streak...'home on wheels'...
Well I recently came across this container.... and guessed it to be from either the '50's or '60's...
I wasn't sure...at first I thought it might be a diaper pail... or a lingerie holder (for the laundry)...
I showed it to hubby dearest and her said, Oh My Gosh! we had those when we were little kids, except ours were a bit wider...
Well after cleaning it up, I discovered a patent  date for 1958... SCORE!
Then on further inspection, I saw it was a 'Tuppercraft" by Tupperware...
I am at a disadvantage, as I was living in Germany almost all of the 1960's (returned Stateside in 1969) so for me I really have to rely on family photos, and search the Internet for what I missed out on. I never even heard of Tupperware until 1969 when we moved to Kansas,,, and then we moved to the suburbs in SO. California... where Tupperware was really popular.

So this container is 20" tall and 7" across.... I am guessing it was for a lady's delicates...
Anyways, now I am off to go research it on the Internet...
 I think I will use it to store toiletries in the trailer or maybe my 'delicates' that need laundering! 

Cool Idea

 How's this for a clever idea?     Take an old license plate, and re-purpose it into a binder for

photos, autographs or journal....  I won  this one on the Shopgoodwill.com auction site...
The center is cut to create a spin and a front and back... the attached with a small piano hinge then the binder is attached as well as a snap tab...

Wednesday is Done!

Ok, I finished up 'Wednesday'... now to start on 'Thursday.'.. and then 'Friday'....and then I can start quilting everything together... 

I snuck into my darling hubby's fly fishing tackle box... borrowed' a fly... heeheehee...
Then I cut the hook off, and stitched it on.
I think I will keep my eyes open for 2 really small fish looking buttons to stitch onto/over the stitched fish... just because I can!  :>) 

Vintage Magazines....

I was down in the storage room in search of some 1965 magazines when I came across some 1951 Western Horseman magazines... I just couldn't resist sharing a few with you...

 I had another  WH magazine, with a Native American riding an Appaloosa horse... The magazine  had a very special article about George Hatley... and I knew I needed to give the magazine to a friend who so admired and was mentored by George.... I believe the magazine has since been given to George's Widow, Ione...

 Check out these boots and the prices... I have to laugh... the first thing that came to mind...when I saw the yellow & green ones... John Deer tractors.... what a Hoot!

 Still around and still one of my favorite cowgirl boots.... I know I love mine.

4 Down, 3 to Go...

Well, I now have Sunday through Tuesday finished.... just Wednesday to Friday left to stitch up...

 I think I will take a break from stitching for a day or two and crochet a rag rug.... just to give my fingers and brain a break.

Now to work on Monday....  I do things out of order! lol!

Block #2

Wahoo! I finished up the 2nd of 7 blocks....

Just 5 more to stitch up.... and then I will applique them into a Quilt.
