Trailer Slugs and Stuff!

Here ya go... two of the cutest 'trailer slugs' I have ever seen!  This 'Glamping' can wear a girl out!
While waiting for our pizza, I snuck out and went next door to the little gift shop to take a photo of this cute suitcase... I had seen the case earlier in the day... and the front side is uber cute... this is the back side... so I figured I would sneak a photo of it, after the shop was closed... How cute is this and what a great idea... the price tag was $250.00... and it weighed a ton! lol!  but I could certainly see one of these by my trailer....
Even the side was finished in mosaic tiles.... if I recall, on the front side there was a 'broken' plate that was a 'frame' to add a personal photo.
Over in Coarsegold, we stopped off at a little plaza  that sold hand made goods, from soaps and jams to jewelery and clothes... I found this cute tray that was made by a 13year old girl. She had a small section (booth) of things that she made with corks and what not's... I just had to buy this tray for two reasons... it was cute and would look cute in my trailer and... to support and encourage this young lady..

Well time to hit the trail and get into some more mischief.

Catalog Trailer

I was perusing through a 1965 Montgomery Wards catalog when I came across this...
You could actually 'Order' a camping trailer from Montgomery Wards... (1965 catalog)
It did not list a Brand/Maker name...so I would guess MW would contract out with a trailer fabricator to make trailers... and maybe give it a name to be used by WM... kind of like Sears and Kenmore.
Which makes me wonder if that is why there are a lot of 'unknown' trailers out there.... as I have seen posts from people (on FaceBook) asking if anyone has any idea of the Brand/Maker of the trailer they are posting.
It seems a tad expensive but then again, that was 1965,,,
The catalog also sold 'Plans" for you to construct/build your own camping trailer.

Here we are, 2013, and catalogs have fallen by the way side and Montgomery Wards has fallen away completely.  Yep, times are changing....

Western Themed Trailer...

For those of you (and me) who have been amassing all kinds of Western deco items... I thought you would get a kick out of this...
I found these cool tumblers a month ago... the 'wrap' is black walnut wood skins with Brandings on the wood.
Oh what I would give to score one of these "Cowpokes" chenille bedspreads... and notice the price? $5.77 for a Twin size spread... good luck finding one for that price now!
 awe to be young again...
to play cowboy and cowgirl with your friends in the neighborhood...
How fun it would be to have one of these outfits hanging on display in a trailer... to cute!

Oh So Many Ideas for Decorating a 1965 Trailer.

So as some of you recall, we Scored a wonderful 1965 Silver Streak trailer..
Well we decided to keep it in the theme of 1965 give or take a year...
I had such fun perusing through a 1964 Sears and 1965 Montgomery Wards catalogs.. to get ideas..
 let's see,,, we'll need a set of Melmac/Melmain dishes....
 we'll need a "train case' ....
oh and lets not forget some cool flooring...
oh to have some of these fun items... oh wait! I have a set of Melmac dishes and a train case... now to figure how to replicate the flooring with out breaking the bank! lol!

STRIKE!

OMG! I scored a Strike,,, when I found this kool Bowling Shirt at one of my favorite haunts....
How kool!, I luv this Bowling shirt... and the name above the pocket is 'Ruby' how fun is that?
I wonder who else was on this team.... and where....
Even the label has a image of a person holding a bowling ball.
This summer at our 5th annual Sisters on the Fly shops the Farm Chicks Show,,, our theme is 'ALOHA Cowgirl' and we are having 'Trailer Park Bowling'... so this shirt is perfect!

More Trailer Stuff!

Oh what a find I made  this weekend while out Junktiquing with my hubby dearest...
Bark cloth, vtg. table cloths, another apron,  a Chenille bead spread and other fun stuff...
I plan to re-purpose the Bark cloth into deco pillows for "Tin Cup" to continue with that early 1960's theme. As for the Chenille spread,,, maybe it will go in the trailer or maybe in the guest room... hmmm!
Oh I also came across a little 'Scotty' dog statue...which is now out in my Serro Scotty trailer...
I Luv Junktiquing!
