Here is my latest train case... I started it in July and then set aside... well I finally got around to finishing it... about time! lol!
I tore up bits of giftwrap paper, and decoupaged them on, and added some cute embellishments...
As for the inside, I used Scottie Dog Duct Tape,,, I painted the underside of the case and sprayed the whole thing with poly-varathane... I even painted the metal band and the handle...
I was channeling Audrey Hepburn and...
Coco Chennel....
with a bit of whimsy...
I found these 2 buttons to adorn the mirror...
and yes,,, Life does give us so many reasons to Smile!

Getting Ready for Winter...
It's almost that time year, when it's time to get ready to tuck our sweet little 'playhouses on wheels' away for the Winter.
Checking for any possible leak spots, packing away linens, pillows etc. and putting my 'go to' moisture absorber in each trailer...
You can find these at Walmart for $4 but I have found them at our local Dollar store, yes, for $1.
But you can also use kitty litter w/charcoal... just use a plastic container the size of a shoebox, fill it 2" deep of the kitty litter w/charcoal and place on the floor in the center of your trailer... If your trailer is larger then 16', I would suggest 2 litter boxes, placed one at each end of the trailer... and come Spring, when you pull your trailer out of storage, you can re-use the litter for your kitties.. just don't be surprised to see a heard of kitties clawing at your trailer door! lol!
As we trailer lovers know, keeping moisture out of our trailers while stored away is very important to prevent mildew and moisture damage to the wood..

Cheap Wine and Glamping...
So, what does Cheap Wine & trailer camping have anything to do with each other???
I was out visiting with my Uncle and family two weeks ago, and on the way home I stopped off at the ".99cent" store... you never know what you will find there... and I was surprised to find wine,, yes, wine! Moscato white wine,,, Seriously! and for only .99cents a bottle!!!
(oops! forgot to rotate the photo.).. any way, I had not opened it until the other day,,, and oh my goodness!! not only did I not need a cork screw, but...It was actually good!
If I thought the store still had some, I would go buy a whole case, (or 2) to take camping with me... heck a whole case would cost the same as 1 nice bottle of wine,,, and I could share and enjoy with out breaking the Bank! lol!
Now I wish I had opened it sooner! Oh well,,,, just goes to show, ya never know!

Koolieo Vtg. Fan...
A very dear friend gave me this koolieo vtg. fan that was in her lake cabin...it's for my Scotty trailer...
I am so excited to dust it off and see if it works... It will be so cute in my trailer...
I love these old portable tornados!,,, they are heavy duty and give off a great burst of air... unlike those plastic light weight cheapo fans manufactured now that barely blow a whisper of air.
It can be set on a table or hung from the wall... How Kool!

Another Train Case...
I love fun old train cases and have decorated 3 so far,,, so this makes #4... and I still have 3 stashed out in the garage for future decorating...
I started this train case when I was in Spokane this past July... I found the case at the Goodwill store for $1.99... it was pretty ugly which made it perfect for decorating...
I re-covered the inside with cute 'Scotty dog' duct tape... then I dragged the unfinished case back to California, where it sat in my craft room for a month before I could get back to it..
I decopage'd gift wrap on the outside, painted the handle and bottom black, sealed everything with poly-varathane and now all that is left to do is embellish it on the outside... I need to go through my stash of Bling and Ribbon and see what I can find... stay tuned! lol!
(go down to Aug. to see the beginning of this case).
