Mini Boon Docking ...

Well here we are, less than a week before Christmas,,, and I want to go Glamping... guess this is as close to Boon Docking as I will get until Spring...
Oh well, this does bring a smile to my heart..  and these are just half of my collection of mini trailers, I have more as well as Trailer bird houses,,, but I can't get to them until all the Christmas deco is packed up and put away... so for now,, I will just enjoy these.
Merry Christmas...  and Happy Trails....

Mini Scotty..

I found this pair of cute, mini Scotty chalk board hanging thingies...
I can write itty bitty messages on them and hang them in or out of my trailer...
I found these at 'World Market-Cost Plus"...  Luv that store!

Trailer Decortions...

Well faschnizzles!  I had really hoped to be able to decorate my Scotty as well as Tin Cup & Cubbie for the Holiday season,,, but with the number of storms and strong winds,,, I could not do any decorating this month, Bummer!
In fact, because of the winds and rains, we had to relocate all 3 trailers to avoid broken tree branches from landing on them... Oak trees up here are prone to breakage......
as you can see, the 'littles' are parked up along the Shop to buffer the winds.
I truly wish I could have strung lights and set up a cute Holiday scene.

and this is my excuse for not decorating last year!
According to the weather report, we are due in another storm of rain...  and possible snow just up the mountain... HoHoHo!

Mini ME....

To borrow a phrase from the 'Austin Powers' movie...
"Mini Me...  You complete me... "...
 it is  aprox 7"  x 7"....
it is a piggy bank, now to start filling it for a future trailer...
and of course, my SOTF number on the back.

We have a local Bisque painting studio, where you paint the item, they fire/glaze it...
I enjoyed making it to match my Serro Scotty trailer...
Happy Trails....

Trailer Deco

Here is a little project I just finished up this weekend...
 G B, that's me!
I purchased these wooden letters, sprayed a layer of primer and then white paint... then I placed a piece of curtain lace over the letters and then sprayed a layer of black paint, removed the lace, let dry then sprayed a layer of clear sealer... Now to decide what to do for the Bling effect... maybe some old jewelery...
This will look cute in my little Scotty Trailer...

Yum!

Wine is Fine... but a Margarita is better!
Some days, when you can't go Glamping,, just do the next best thing,,, Memory Glamp, you know, peruse through your photos of past glamping trips, remember the fun, the mishaps and the memories...
And now, I think I will go peek out in my trailer and see how she is doing....
Happy Trails!

A Pillow CAse for a Friend...

In the past 8+ years, I have met so many delightful 'sisters' from "Sisters on the Fly", a women only trailer group...
And every now and then I feel the need to make or find a little something for dear ladies whose friendship and paths I have crossed...some local and some far away......

Well, while out in the town of Merced,  I took advantage of the trip and hit the Hobby Lobby store... you know the one, the Craft Store on Steroids! lol!
I found this sweet fabric and immediately Kerry-jo aka Cuppa Jo, came to mind, so I just had to buy and stitch up a sweet little pillow case for her 'Cuppa-Jo" trailer...
Kerry has a "Lil Loafer" Aristocrat vintage trailer all decked out in a coffee theme... it is truly cute!
SO the pillow case is in the mail, on it's way to Kerry-jo... Hope she likes it!
I machine embroidered her trailer name 'cuppa-jo' on one side...
and the silhouette of a coffee cup on the other....

I am slowly learning to be more comfortable with my embroidery sewing machine...and how to
down load pattern designs .. now to find some cute trailer & flamingo designs to stitch up!...

Trailer Stamps...

Look what I spotted in our little local ceramic shop....
This is a set of rubber stamps in a cute trailer theme! The gal stamped the ceramic dish, and then painted it... how cute is that!
I think I will search the internet to see who sells these stamps!

Sunset Magazine 2014

I was thumbing through this months issue of Sunset magazine when low and behold, on page 11,  I spotted this!
At first I thought, 'Seriously?' to take a sweet 1954 Boles Aero trailer and turn it into a Bar, a traveling Bar no less',,, but then I thought, "Actually how koolieo would that be at one of our Trailer outings''... so I guess it just all depends on how you look at it! lol!  and Cheers!

Oh Good Golly!

Oh Good Golly!!! when did I amass soooo much trailer stuff?
I went out to the garage, out of curiosity, to see how many 'bins' of trailer deco stuff I had... YIKES!
I counted 13 bins, 3 suitcases, several 'Jugs', train cases, port-a-bars, etc...  Yikes is an understatement!
and there are more bins behind this stuff!
not to mention left over flooring vinyl from a previous trailer repair.
and what you don't see in these photos are the Jugs, train cases, vtg. iron boards... and more stuff on the other side!
I need an Intervention... or a bigger garage!
After all, the one who dies with the most trailer deco stuff... is the Winner! Yippee!
I am a Winner!  lol!

Nice Weather...

Well here it is, almost the middle of October, and we are still having lovely warm weather... I wish I could squeeze in one more Glamping trip, but alas, to many things to do right now..

SO I think I will be sure to keep a smile on,  by placing some of my 'lil trailers' strategically through out the house...
I especially  love this one because it is from my Aunt and Uncle over in Prescott Arizona.

Oh and on a recent outing up to Merced, we found a 'Hobby Lobby' (craft store on Steroids)...lol!
and I spotted this cute cookie jar, but it was quit pricey and only 30% on sale... so the next time I am up in Merced, I will mossy on over to Hobby Lobby and see if they have gone to 50% on sale which brings the jar down to $24.00.
Cute jar to store the Christmas cookies in!
 fun details all around..
even the back side is 'Jolly'...

2014 SOTF Outing at the Beach...

Well once again, 'sister' Carol and her 'posse' hosted a Sisters on the Fly Luncheon over in Ventura
by the Beach... ALOHA Steakhouse was our destination...
So, Coni #4968 & I cruised down to Newbury Park, and stayed at my mother's home then the next day we drove up  to Ventura to meet up with the SOTF gals...
We had a delightful lunch and then we converged onto Main street where all the fun Junktique shops are... and look what I scored!
I have another one of these 'Cocktail Decanters' so I think I will put this one in 'Tin Cup' (Silver Streak).. Did someone say Martini!?!? lol!
I still have not decided yet whether I will paint and decorate this one or leave it as is..

Trailer Cash...

Oh MY!!! what a cute 'paint your own' trailer 'cash' bank...
We have a local pottery shop, the type where you go, paint & then they fire it.... So my plan is to make this one look like my 'lil Scotty with a potty'...

Another Train CAse for me...

Here is my latest train case... I started it in July and then set aside... well I finally got around to finishing it... about time! lol!
I tore up bits of giftwrap paper, and decoupaged them on, and added some cute embellishments...
As for the inside, I used Scottie Dog Duct Tape,,,  I painted the underside of the case and sprayed the whole thing with poly-varathane... I even painted the metal band and the handle...
I was channeling Audrey Hepburn and...
 Coco Chennel....
 with a bit of whimsy...
I found these 2 buttons to adorn the mirror...
and yes,,, Life does give us so many reasons to Smile!

Getting Ready for Winter...

It's almost that time year, when it's time to get ready to tuck our sweet little 'playhouses on wheels' away for the Winter.
Checking for any possible leak spots, packing away linens, pillows etc. and putting my 'go to' moisture absorber in each trailer...
You can find these at Walmart for $4  but I have found them at our local Dollar store, yes, for $1.
But you can also use kitty litter w/charcoal... just use a plastic container the size of a shoebox, fill it 2" deep of the kitty litter w/charcoal and place on the floor in the center of your trailer... If your trailer is larger then 16', I would suggest 2 litter boxes, placed one at each end of the trailer... and come Spring, when you pull your trailer out of storage, you can re-use the litter for your kitties..  just don't be surprised to see a heard of kitties clawing at your trailer door! lol!

As we trailer lovers know, keeping moisture out of our trailers while stored away is very important to prevent mildew and moisture damage to the wood..

Cheap Wine and Glamping...

So,  what does Cheap Wine & trailer camping have anything to do with each other???

I was out visiting with my Uncle and family two weeks ago, and on the way home I stopped off at the ".99cent" store... you never know what you will find there... and I was surprised to find wine,, yes, wine!  Moscato white wine,,, Seriously! and for only .99cents a bottle!!!
(oops! forgot to rotate the photo.).. any way, I had not opened it until the other day,,, and oh my goodness!! not only did I not need a cork screw, but...It was actually good!

If I thought the store still had some, I would go buy a whole case, (or 2) to take camping with me... heck a whole case would cost the same as 1 nice bottle of wine,,, and I could share and enjoy with out breaking the Bank! lol!
Now I wish I had opened it sooner! Oh well,,,, just goes to show, ya never know!

Koolieo Vtg. Fan...

A very dear friend gave me this koolieo  vtg. fan that was in her lake cabin...it's for my Scotty trailer...
I am so excited to dust it off and see if it works... It will be so cute in my trailer...
I love these old portable tornados!,,, they are heavy duty and give off a great burst of air... unlike those plastic light weight cheapo fans manufactured now that barely blow a whisper of air.
It can be set on a table or hung from the wall...  How Kool!

Another Train Case...

I love fun old train cases and have decorated 3 so far,,, so this makes #4... and I still have 3 stashed out in the garage for future decorating...
I started this train case when I was in Spokane this past July... I found the case at the Goodwill store for $1.99... it was pretty ugly which made it perfect for decorating...
I re-covered the inside with cute 'Scotty dog' duct tape... then I dragged the unfinished case back to California, where it sat in my craft room for a month before I could get back to it..
I decopage'd  gift wrap on the outside, painted the handle and bottom black, sealed everything with poly-varathane and now all  that is left to do is embellish it on the outside... I need to go through my stash of Bling and Ribbon and see what I can find... stay tuned! lol!
(go down to Aug. to see the beginning of this case).

Traveleing Handbag In Northfork...

Today hubby & I played hooky and decided to drive out to Manzanita Lake,,, while en-route we spotted this Flume, out in Northfork,, so 'traveling handbag' asked us to take a photo of it,,, and we did,
I really need to remember to take my glasses off when being photographed...makes me look goofy!
OK,  'traveling handbag'  time to go... more things to see and besides, there is chicken in the car waiting to be snacked on! lol!
Happy Trails!

The Door.....

I have 2 little Troll dolls that I take with me anytime I go Glamping in my 1963 Serro Scotty trailer... These two are my connection to the mid 1960's.. I started collecting Troll dolls in 1965 when we lived in New Britain,  Conn.

Well guess what! They now have their very own 'Door' to sneak through, when they want to get into mischief in my trailer!

I have the good fortune to have this 'Fairy Door", curtsey of Marcy, who is a polimer clay artist... as for me... I am just polimer clay challenged! lol!

Hard as I tried, I could not get the glitter to show, but trust me, there is plenty of 'fairy dust' on my 'fairy door'...
Thank you Marcy, not only from me.. but my to little traveling friends...
Happy Trails!

Another Traveling Train Case...

Another traveling train case... like as if I need another one! lol!
I found this one, (goodwill, $1.99) slightly battered...  but I saw it's potential... so with a bit of  gift wrap paper, and a roll of cute duct tape... here is the un-finished project... I started on it up in Spokane, dragged it home and now to dig through my stash for cute embellishments...
yep... duct tape works wonders for the ugly inside.... I am thinking of removing the plastic blue ruffled ribbon and replacing it with black ruffled lace...
I tore up bits of the paper and glued it on hodge podge style with Mod Podge...
I am going to glue either rhinestones or pearls around the mirror... but first I need to make a trip to town, to Joannes or Michaels to get the lace and pearls or rhinestones... be back soon!  :>)

Summer Time...

Summer times has once again gotten in the way of my 'blogging'.. what can I say.. I like to go outside and get into mischief!
I recently flew back to Spokane, WA., to visit up with my grand-kiddos and get in a little Glamping time with my gal~pals...
spotted this koolieo  vtg. motorhome in the parking lot in Airway Heights.,WA. wish I had written down what type it was..
Sherry's sweet little ALOHA , as we were headed out to Elk River, ID.,
the lower level at Girl Camp in ID.
Our 'potty facility' at camp.... I should have taken a photo of the inside, it was all cutsied up!
Linner's lovely stained glass trailer... wish I had the skills to do stain (lead) glass work.
me, chillaxin in front of Juli's trailer.
I spotted this cute little hand towel in a coffee shop in the quaint little town of Elk River, ID.
4 days of Glamping with my gal~pals,,, it was awesome! I'll be back next year!
