Gold Rush Gals.....

I had a wonderful weekend Glamping with the "Gold Rush Gals" up in Mariposa, California...
We are all 'Sisters on the Fly' and wanted to get in one last weekend of camping before we tucked our trailers in for the Winter.
And what better way and time then the first weekend of December,,, Craft Bazars, community festivities, shopping, food and friendship...
Left to right: Barbara, Sharon, Kathleen, Dianne, Claire, Myself, Deni and Lind(not in pic.)
back at the ranch... Dianne, Barbara, Kathleen, myself, Lindy, Claire.
L to R: Barbara, Kathleen, Claire, Sharon, Luci and in front is Dianne and myself. 'Cheers!!!"
I only put a few bits of decorations up in the inside of my trailer....
This is Claire's little Shasta. Farm girl cuteness....
and then Barbara brought her 1949 wooden Tear Drop trailer. I luv the Tinsel Tree!
My lil Serro Scotty...
We were parked under cover in the Livestock area... No worries, the grounds keepers raked before we arrived... no 'poo' in there... lol!

Another One...

As if I don't have enough "UFO's".... (un finished objects-'projects')....
and here I am thinking I need to head to my sewing room and make one of these...
I spotted this over on the Maryjane Farm forum... what a cute idea... and to make it fast and easy peasy,,, I will make a simple square pot holder, and machine applique the trailer image onto the fabric... as for the towel.. also easy peasy... just add the ruffle, and then use those 'iron-on' type crayons to draw the fork/spoon image... then iron to heat set it.
I see Christmas gifts in the making for my trailer gal pals... if I can get past my ever growing stack of UFO's that are sitting on my sewing table! lol!

Welcome First Day of Autumn..

So,,, today is the 1st day of Autumn... the days of Glamping are winding down,,,, and the days of sitting by the fire pit with my Honey-bear, enjoying a mug of  Gluhwein (warmed spiced red wine) is starting...
Though I am sad that my days of playing outside in the garden are coming to an end,,, I am looking forward to cozying up by the fire and getting caught up on some of my sewing projects...
Out of shear silliness and something I saw in the Country Living magazine... I just had to make one for myself....
 Country Living Magazine's version....
my version..... (scrap piece of fire wood and left over paint)
can you tell it's the 1st day of Fall?
I finished up the stitching portion of my  quilted Glamping pillow....
Now to sit down and start quilting... or I could put it off till the weekend and in stead, go sit outside with my Honey-bear and enjoy our 1st Autumn evening....  hmmmmm.....

Life in a Nut Shell...

Sometimes my life feels like living in a Nut Shell... goodness knows,, I am a bit Nuts at times! lol!
But the best part is, I am not alone... my partner in crime, aka-husband shares that Nut Shell with me...

For example,,, I decided to be a vendor in our local Labor Day weekend Peddlers Faire... a 4 day event where you can try to sell your 'stuff'. and turn around and buy someone else stuff! lol!
Joy of joys, I sold stuff and ended up with $415 cash in my pocket...

BUT...
on the last day, a guy approached hubby and I and told us he had an old Shasta out in his field that he would like to get rid of,, (here is where the $400 comes in)... I said Yes!  Hubby gave me that... "Oh No you don't " look,,,, long story short...
Look what followed us home,,, after we bought her a new set of tires...
1963 Shasta SCS

hubby getting ready to jack her up and remove the rims and tires...
she even has her ear-Wings....
here is the layout.... rear kitchen and a self contained shower and potty. Ours has a short table between the twin beds.
She made it home to be lovingly fussed over.... and cleaned up.
The outside of the oven/stove is grey and as you can see, the inside looks to never have been used other then to catch 52 years of dirt/dust.
 I love the original lights.
this one is over the table.
Love the iconic "S", Shasta's trademark.
I was told the original colors for this model and year was grey and pink... and the counter looks to be either a pale blue or very light mint green...
We chipped away some exterior paint and found what also looks to be either a very pale blue or uber light mint,,, and you can see the (barely) image of the "V" in front and the "Z" stripes down the sides...
Oh the fun we will have bringing her back to life... For the most part she needs elbow grease, sanding and varnish, new cushions & curtains....
We only found one issue of concern and that was in the bottom corner behind the potty... which will probably have to get into and put new wood...
If the plumbing and electrical get to complicated we'll take her to the RV shop to be repaired,,, but for now it's time to clean her out, and make our (by importance) "To-Do" list for repairs...
I will try to remember to post pics along the way....
Just what we need! another trailer! lol!
Silver Streak 1965
Serro Scotty 1963
Viking Cub Cruiser 1949
Shasta 16SCS  1963...
What next? lol!

Just Thinking....

I was just thinking...
about my lil "Farmgirl on the Loose' trailer,,, and wish I had not sold her... I wish I had kept her, and stored her back in Spokane,,, then every time I fly back I could camp in her,,, at least in the summertime...  just thinking...

Oh How I need These...

I was 'Gifted' these two,,, the 'train case' and 'over nighter' case... by a dear and very lovely lady, Lind,y who is also a Sister on the Fly gal pal...
I always have a use for the train cases... to store my many craft supplies in,, then I can just grab a case and go... when I am heading out to go Glamping...

As for the little 'over nighter' case... I want to decorate it with those Travel Stickers,,, the kind you would collect when on vacation at tourist destination spots...
Oh how cute that would be.

Thank you so very much Lindy.. I will cherish them especially since they came from your family..

Rules...

I always have a blast Glamping with my gal~pals... and we have this rule... 'What happens at the Camp Ground,,, stays at the Camp Ground"...  don't get me wrong,,, we don't misbehave so much... but sometimes it is best to use discression when posting photos...
That being said.... I have lots of black mail pics... oh wait so do my gal~pals... lol!
We do get silly...

Karen and I spotted these trailers while enroute to Elk River....

Now I can post again...
Yippee! I told ya I had fun!

No Photos for now...

Well fiddlestix,,,, thanx to the new Windows 10 that I downloaded/installed... I now can not get any of my photos in my picture file to upload to either of my blogs... and worse yet, I can not download my photos from my camera into my picture file...
Oh Thank you so very much Windows 10...

I spent a fun 4 days at Girl Camp... the annual glamping trip/venue I take every year.... about  1 1/2 of us gals return each year to Girl Camp in the town of Elk River, ID... hosted by gal~pal Juli  on her property. We always have a blast....
This year I tried Kayaking for the first time,,, and I LUV it!
I took lots of fun photos but unfortunately I can't down load them to share with you... uugh!

Hopefully this issue along with other issues I am having with Windows 10 will get resolved...

SOTF and Ventura California....

Well the first week of June was the beginning of Glamping season for me... and the first outing was a Sisters on the Fly (SOTF) gathering called the South West Gathering aka California Dreaming...
There were about 250 'sisters' and their trailers... OMG! and we did have 'More fun than anyone'...
Here are a few pictures,,, I will post more at a later date... other wise you will just go blurry eyed... lol!
my lil scotty... I had a shade umbrella up,,, but the winds blew it down so I left it down,,, the winds also blew my decorative silk flowers all over the place,,, I was picking up fake geraniums several trailers spots away.. lol!
some of the Central Valley gals,,,, I am the one with the black hat  and pink flip flops on...
me (left) and Claudia posing for the camera...
I went junktiquing that morning,,, and was pooped out (and almost broke) by noon! lol!
this sweet trailer belongs to Robin  from Central Washington...
I luv this sweet uber vintage trailer... I have actually seen glimps of it on TV...
Don't know who this sweet Scamp belongs to, but it makes me miss my little SCAMP trailer,,, sometimes I wish I hadn't sold it.. it was tiny, but fun.
This gleaming Silver Stream belongs to Cat, aka 'the vintage housewife'...
it doesn't matter how fancy or simple ones trailer is, new or old,,, we have fun decorating our trailers like as if they were our little playhouses on wheels...  and they are!
Happy Trails...
